​ SIE Strengthens Collaboration with Meihua Group for International Student Employment

On February 28, 2025, the School of International Education (SIE) of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) hosted a meeting with Meihua Group at BUCT.In attendance were Li Xinming, Senior Recruitment Director of Meihua Group; Yu Xiaotong, Overseas Recruitment Manager; and Michael Harford and Cao Lulu, Management Trainees in the International Talent Program at Meihua. From the university, attendees included Li Qifang, Chair of SIE; Yu Yue, Vice Dean and Deputy Chair of SIE; Jiang Xin, Vice Director of the International Student Affairs Department; and Liu Jiefu, Undergraduate International Student Counselor. The meeting was hosted by Jiang Xin.

Li Xinming expressed his gratitude to SIE for hosting the visit and then introduced Meihua Group to the attendees, emphasizing its innovative research and development efforts in food, biology, pharmaceuticals, and petroleum. He highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development, technological innovation and global competitiveness.

Yu Xiaotong presented Meihua Group’s overseas recruitment initiatives and its success in attracting international talent. She stated that Meihua Group would intensify its recruitment efforts, focusing on attracting both international and domestic talent.

Li Qifang welcomed the delegation from Meihua Group and reaffirmed SIE’s commitment to fostering university-enterprise cooperation. He expressed hope that the establishment of scholarships and internship programs would not only enhance employment opportunities for international students but also assist Meihua Group in attracting and retaining top-tier talent.

Yu Yue outlined SIE’s efforts to enhance international education and emphasized the importance of collaboration with leading enterprises. She noted that through strong industry partnerships, particularly in career development, the school has built a diverse platform for internships, creating valuable job opportunities for international students and facilitating their integration into Chinese society and the workforce.

Both parties agreed to strengthen university-enterprise collaboration, further expanding employment opportunities for international students in China and those enrolled in Sino-foreign cooperative programs. Moving forward, SIE will deepen its partnerships with enterprises, providing students with better academic resources and broader employment opportunities while cultivating outstanding talent for social and economic development.
