International Students from BUCT Visit the UIBE Museum

Recently, the School of International Education (SIE) at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) organized a visit for international students to the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) Museum. The event aimed to broaden students’ cultural perspectives, enhance their understanding of China’s economic and trade development, and provide them with hands-on experience in traditional Chinese art.

During the visit, the students explored the UIBE Museum, which showcases the evolution of China’s international economic and trade system. Through a diverse collection of exhibits, historical documents, and case studies, the museum illustrates how China’s trade policies have evolved and their impact on global commerce. The students listened attentively to the tour guide, engaged in discussions, and expressed keen interest in the valuable historical artifacts on display.

Following the museum tour, the students participated in an engaging traditional Chinese pattern coloring activity. Under the guidance of professional instructors, they learned about the cultural significance of these intricate patterns,as well as their influence on the design creations and inspirations of internationally renowned designers. Furthermore, they engaged in coloring and creating their own works based on traditional Chinese patterns. This hands-on experience not only allowed them to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese art but also deepened their understanding of Chinese traditional culture.

The visit was an enriching experience for the international students, providing them with valuable insights into China’s International economic and trade history while immersing them in its artistic heritage. Moving forward, the School of International Education at Beijing University of Chemical Technology will continue to organize cultural exchange programs, offering international students more opportunities to explore and integrate into Chinese society.
